ReserveStay is a hospitality and accommodation platform designed to help people discover, view, and request bookings or visits for both hotels and PG properties. The app also allows hosts to create and manage property listings, upload listing photos, review enquiries, and manage bookings.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use ReserveStay, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Account and authentication data: mobile number, Firebase authentication identifiers, and account role such as user or host.
- Profile information: name, email address if provided, profile image, and other details voluntarily added through profile screens.
- Hotel and PG listing information: property names, addresses, descriptions, room or stay details, contact numbers, pricing details, listing images, and related host listing content.
- Booking and enquiry data: booking requests, visit requests, selected dates, guest details submitted in the app flow, booking status, and communication records generated by app actions.
- Notification data: Firebase Cloud Messaging device tokens, notification preference state, and notification metadata used to deliver booking or account updates.
- Uploaded media: images selected by users or hosts for property listings or profile updates, including edited or cropped images uploaded to cloud storage.
- Local app data: limited device-side preference data such as role state and session-related values stored through local preferences for app continuity.
- Technical and usage data: app instance information, device platform details, and service-generated logs required for security, authentication, storage, and notification delivery.
ReserveStay includes both hotel and PG listings. Information entered by hosts for either type of property may be visible to users inside the app according to the listing flow.
3. How We Use Information
- To create and maintain user and host accounts.
- To verify mobile numbers and enable phone-based sign-in.
- To publish, manage, and display hotel and PG listings.
- To process booking requests, visit requests, booking confirmations, cancellations, and host-side booking management.
- To share relevant enquiry details with a hotel or PG representative when a user initiates a visit or booking flow.
- To upload and display listing images and profile images.
- To send push notifications and in-app updates related to bookings, enquiries, visits, and account activity.
- To maintain app reliability, prevent misuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve service performance.
5. Storage and Security
ReserveStay stores operational data using Firebase-backed services and uses reasonable technical measures to protect app data from unauthorized access, misuse, or alteration. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we aim to limit access and store only the information required to provide the service.
Some information may also be cached locally on the device to support sessions, preferences, or app continuity.
6. Permissions and Device Access
The current Android app may request or use the following access depending on feature usage:
- Internet access: required for authentication, listing retrieval, image upload, cloud storage access, and notifications.
- Notifications: optional notification permission may be requested so users can receive booking, visit, and account updates.
- Photos or media selected by the user: when a host or user chooses images for listings or profile updates, the app accesses only the files selected through the system picker or image editing flow.
ReserveStay does not state in this policy that it continuously tracks precise device location in the current Android release. Property map information shown in the app is based on listing-related location data associated with hotel or PG records.
7. Data Retention
ReserveStay retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, maintain account integrity, support listings and bookings, send notifications, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce platform rules.
If a user or host requests deletion, some records may be removed while other limited records may be retained where necessary for operational, legal, fraud-prevention, or audit purposes.
8. Your Choices and Rights
- You may choose whether to provide optional profile details such as email or profile images.
- You may control notification permissions through your device settings.
- You may request account or data assistance by contacting ReserveStay support.
- You may stop using the app at any time, although some backend records related to completed app activity may remain as described in this policy.
9. Children’s Privacy
ReserveStay is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe such information has been submitted through ReserveStay, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
10. Changes to This Policy
